The Wonky Jewellery Studio is based in The Market town of Richmond North Yorkshire, a short distance from the Marketplace, on the Gallowfields trading estate, just along from Richmond Garden Centre.

Lou has over 10 years experience as a Jewellery designer and maker, exhibiting in Venice and for Handmade in Britain.

As a qualified teacher Lou also teaches for York Council having taught in both the private and public sector for many years.

Workshops are usually held on  a daily basis between 11 and 5.30pm. Evenings Upon request.

All classes booked are on a 1-2-1 or very small basis and are not based on group prices unlike many other studios. When receiving a booking, this time booked is exclusively for you and whoever you bring with you.

This means you are getting 1-2-1 teaching and a personal workshop experience. Group classes are held monthly throughout the year and are bookable via the online shop.

You do not need any previous experience

For each session you come away with a copper and a Sterling silver piece of jewellery, per person.

Custom made jewellery benches and use of tools are available for your session for up to 6 people.

Hand tools are used alongside a simple power tool. Safety goggles provided.

Toilet and refreshments available with cake making a regular appearance!

I also have my studio sidekick, Hugo – a border collie dog who is extremely friendly and likes to be involved with whatever I am doing. If this is a problem, please let me know.
