These beautiful sterling silver and copper drop earrings are inspired by the beach and the sea and rippled sand on the shorelines. I’ve created the dappled and mottled, rippled wave effect by a technique jewellers call ‘planishing’. These earrings are lovingly handformed from start to finish, the oblongs of hammered and planished metal are then attached by a process of rivet granulation which secures the pieces in place and ensures these earrings stand the test of time.
The silver oblong has a lined hammered finish and the copper, a more ‘dappled’ textured finish.
Measuring around 1.2cm by 0.8, the earring sits approx 2cm from the lobe.
